Mark your calendars for one of Old Brooklyn’s premier events – the 4th Annual Pop UP Pearl Complete Street Festival along Pearl Rd. between Wildlife Way and State Rd. – Saturday, May 17th from 3pm to 8pm. Pop UP Pearl is modeled on the Better Block Project, first undertaken in Dallas in 2010, and creates a temporary “complete street” with lively pop-up shops, vibrant street life and a clear vision of what downtown Old Brooklyn can be. Complete streets are those that accommodate all users whether they are old, young, disabled, transit users, automobile drivers, cyclists or pedestrians. This year’s event will once again feature local artists and entertainers, craft vendors, a wide range of food thanks to some of Cleveland’s favorite food trucks, and temporary bike lanes on parts of Pearl Rd.
If you’re an artist, crafter, musician or food vendor and would like more information on how you can be a part of this year’s event, please visit our 2014 Show Schedule & Contracts page to download an application. Keep it tuned here for more, as we’ll be posting more info and events details as we get closer to May 17th.
